Hey,

Has anyone been up to Koli national park. On average about 200m above sea level. I was speaking to a friend who said she knows of a pretty windy road up that way. Maybe with hairpins.
I am also looking for some 10mm bearings for my bear trucks. Anyone know the closest dealer to us to have them? Offshore isnt stocking them and they are the only landyaychtz dealer here I think? Sweden or Norway have any shops that might wanna post to me?

I have found some rad free riding spots in the city. The ramps that take you to the underground carparks near Stockmans is perfect. it was built to skate. Just need some bearings so I can go skate it. If it's ok I will let you all know. Would be good to get out and roll with some of you.

Yeah I've been to koli and the road you take to the hotel has some hairpins if I remember right. But there's a better part to that place.
At the end of the road theres an elevator so you can take that and get to the top with ease :DDD

And let us know if your going to skate the ramps. I've been dying to test out my new switch but none of my friends want to go skate car parks...

looks pretty neat. i highly recommend using google maps street view if you want to check out some special hill. you can find most of finland's roads there!

that koli route looks sweet. i think papa have ridden that a few times. i think he said that the asphalt is pretty poor... but that sure looks nice route.

Yea that's the one!! That hairpin is rad, Hopefully it's steep enough that you could keep your speed through the car park and into the second hairpin to.

Was looking at the road in the middle. The one that runs down from the cottages. If the surface is decent this could be a winner to.

Yes it's a winner. Pavement isn't that good but still it's a very nice spot. Only problem is cars going up to the cottages. Best way to do it is to have some people with walkietalkies with ya.

So sorry to spoil it for you, but road up to Kaunispää is packed with tourist busses and cars driving up to the tunturi all summer. And the asphalt is all shredded from all the winds rains and cracked from the frost and melting. Its good enough for car tires but for skateboard wheels... well its possible, but but not smoothest ride.

Sad to say, but that pretty much the situation with all Lappish roads.

 Plus its 1000+ km from helsinki.

Still its SOOOOO beautiful up there, so worth a visit!! Just stay out of Saariselkä. Thats a tourist trap.

Yea I heard that the road surfaces up there can be pretty ordinary. Traffic is just one of those things. If your gonna be riding on roads you have to expect. Gotta pick the right times, when it is minimal. I don't mind road trips. I have flown around the world to skate awesome hills. 1000ks isn't a worry. I just need a car to get there.

It would be good to look at lapland in general anyway. I think I'm heading there to snowboard in a couple of weeks so it would be nice to see it in the summer to. Looks like an amazing area.

There's an awesome road in pyhätunturi. You cant look at it in google maps but I've been there quite some times since I do alpine skiing.
Back to the road it has 2-3 mild hairpins and I could imagine getting up to 60-80 km/h on it and I really doubt that there are too many cars in the summer

I think that Pablo is sort of group which making sport films and edits. Pablo including some master videographers (like Jaakko Itäaho who is profesional film maker for example in snowboard indrusty (he has filmed wit big corporations like burton and mag dawg)). Look at the "who" section in the Pablos site.

Sector 9 is moving up for sure. That Evren kid is only 16 and one of the fastest, steezyest riders out. He is also one of the nicest and most modest 16 year olds you are ever likely to meet. Nothing but manners.

The moral of the second video is:

When passing your buddy at high speed (especially in a super risky spot like 50cm's from a rusty old guard rail) CLAP your hands and let him know that you are coming. Always pass on the side that has more room unless you are approaching a blind corner. If they had hit that guard rail at that speed a life would have been lost.
